Summer break is almost over here in Thailand. In just a few weeks, many of our students will make the long journey from their remote villages back to their dormitories.
It’s a journey of FAITH.
Their dream of getting an education and forging their way out of poverty is one that they can’t accomplish by themselves.
They are thankful for the sponsors who have supported them through Leading to the Light and the Education Opportunity Program.
And they are HOPEFUL…
Hopeful that God will send someone to sponsor them for another year.
Jayba is one of these hopeful children who will be returning to Bilay’s Home next month.
He comes from a very large remote village in Myanmar, full of turmoil and violence. His parents are poor hill farmers and can’t make enough to support their family of seven.
Jayba’s parents wanted their youngest child to have an education, a privilege that they were unable to obtain for themselves. But they worried for the safety of their son if he went to the local village school.
The next closest school from his village was many hours away and too far for Jayba to walk everyday.
His parents did not know anyone they could trust to take care of their child while receiving an education.
One day someone told Jayba’s parents about Bilay’s Home in Thailand where students could study without fear of being stolen or trafficked, so they decided to send him.
Jayba’s parents are sincerely grateful for your willingness to help their child.

This month we are launching the “Change Their World” 2017 campaign to invite you to help empower 125 children by providing the security, academic support, love and spiritual guidance they need to THRIVE.
While the students are preparing for another year of education, we are preparing to make our annual trip back to the States to advocate in their behalf.
We are excited to see how God will make it happen.
