From One-Way Tickets to a Lasting Mission
In 2010, our family moved to Thailand with one-way tickets, $900, and a calling to share the light of Jesus where He was little known.
Today, Leading to the Light partners with local pastors and gospel workers throughout Thailand and Myanmar to strengthen communities through gospel outreach, missionary training, education, health programs, and compassionate care.
What began as a one-year experiment has grown into a long-term ministry focused on equipping local believers to bring the hope of Jesus to their own communities—and God is still writing the story.

2026
Work begins on a new Community Center in Roi Et Province, creating a permanent place for ministry.
2025
- Mosaic Sanctuary Study Center officially opens.
- Construction begins on our fifth Tiny Home for the Poor.
2024
- Young Minds leadership Program in Ubon Province, Thailand opens our fourth afterschool location.
- Land purchased in Roi Et Province, Thailand for a new church and after-school children’s program.
2023
- Launched Threads of Hope to support single moms and widows.
- LTTL becomes its own 501c3 corporation!
2022
- Launch Student Lunch program of Kampiban School.
- 225,000 lbs of rice distributed.
2021
- New “Center of Influence” built at Dulaw Burkee Village, Thailand.
2020
- “My Bible First” lessons are translated into three languages. 1,360,000 lessons distributed by the end of 2023.
2019
- “My Bible First” lessons are translated into three languages. 1,360,000 lessons distributed by the end of 2023.
2018
- First “The Maker Heals” 10 day Health Education Program
2017
- First vocational sewing school
- Pastor Phamor honored for 50 years of gospel service.
2016
- Book sent to establish libraries
- Traveled the team to interview Karen refugees in the US.
2015
Construction begins on LTTL Headquarters in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
2014
- First English as a second language camp
- Trained media outreach team
2013
- Karen Missionary Training Center in Thailand opens.
- 560 students served 2013 to 2023
2012
- Teeko Church - First “Center of Influence” built
2011
- LTTL partners with Pastor Phamor to structure a plan to farm and equip new “Centers of Influence”.
2010
- Rawlings move to Thailand
- Leading to the Light (LTTL) formed as non-profit subsidiary.
