Project Description
The My Bible First for Asia initiative is dedicated to translating children’s Bible lessons into Multiple Asian Languages ensuring that children and adults can study the Bible in their own language. By making these lessons accessible, we aim to foster spiritual growth, understanding, and connection to God’s Word among young learners in diverse communities.
Objectives:
- Translate Bible Lessons: Provide high-quality translations of engaging Bible lessons tailored for children in Thai, Karen, and Burmese, Bengali and more.
- Promote Language Accessibility: Ensure that individuals can learn and understand the Scriptures in their native languages, enhancing their spiritual education.
- Support Local Churches: Equip local churches with resources to effectively teach children about the Bible, fostering a strong foundation of faith.
- Encourage Family Involvement: Create materials that families can use together, promoting Bible study as a shared experience for both children and adults.
Target Population:
Our primary beneficiaries include children and adults from diverse linguistic backgrounds in Asia, particularly those from Thai, Karen, and Burmese communities. This initiative seeks to reach children in areas where access to Bible resources is limited.
Project Activities:
- Translation Process: Collaborate with linguists and educators to accurately translate Bible lessons while ensuring cultural relevance.
- Resource Distribution: Partner with local churches and organizations to distribute the translated materials to children and families in need.
- Training Workshops: Organize workshops for church leaders and teachers on how to effectively use the translated materials in their teachings.
